Some friends from the Franklin Ward organized a BBQ club. They have a theme each month and the rule is that your food has to "touch a flame." I'm definitely there for the socialization, so I completely ignore that rule. Luckily those that were sticklers about the rules have since moved away. This month the theme was "blackened." I thought it'd be fun to make black rolls, not realizing "blackened" was a specific Jamaican spice blend, ha! So I felt a bit silly making the black bread, but I had already bought the charcoal so I just went with it.
