Long story short: because of a stupid phone malfunction when Pat tried to change the passcode on his phone, it completely locked him out and encrypted all his data and code on the phone so that there was no way to access his phone except to wipe it back to factory setting. To say this was sad and unfortunate is an extreme understatement. With how busy life was, he hadn't been keeping up with regular phone maintenance, which meant we lost 6 months of photos!!! Every picture Pat took after our cross country trip: GONE! Not to mention all texts and who knows what else. We're probably not even realizing the full extent of data he lost. On top of all this, it's just bad timing to have to take the time to completely re-install apps and set it up so that he can use it for work on Monday. We had to stop working on the Heritage House so that he could try to fix it (which didn't work...and not wiping it & re-setting it up).
It seems there are not enough hours in the day. The Heritage House needs so much more work. I have to find a way to spend more time over there. The kids' school, meals, and other duties are taking up so much time. I thought the house would be done by now and we could start slowing moving, but we're not even close to being finished with just the painting! So. much. painting. They had such dark colors that it's taken 2 coats of primer just to be able to get it white. And the house was left completely filthy. On top of this, there's a lot more updates that need to be done, like the tub, shower, and new linoleum everywhere that we weren't planning. I keep toying with the idea of just postponing homeschool until summer...
At least we don't have to speak in church tomorrow (phew!). Bu we do next week. And I still don't know how I want to approach the topics we were given yet.
